A beginning

Since I’ve given in and, after quite the long hold-out, signed up for twitter, I figured I should probably get to writing in this thing.  The thing is…I’m incredibly introverted and shy and really don’t care to put myself out there much.  So I’m not sure what this blog will exactly involve, but it certainly will contain excerpts from my work.  I possess quite the interesting combination of shyness (in regards to who I am as a person, how my mind works, etc.) and exhibitionism (when it comes to things related to sex, erotica, bdsm, and the like).

So this is…an experiment.  A beginning.  My understanding is that in today’s tech-heavy world (especially when it comes to communication), one must whore oneself out on the interwebs (at least to some extent).  Which is probably most applicable for creative folks, attempting to make a living off their art–I’ve just in the past year begun to put my name out there as an erotica writer and have started publishing my stories in various anthologies (and one magazine).   My dear friend (and one of the most brilliant people I know), Eva Hayward (http://fingeryeyes.blogspot.com), said when I posted my twitter account that she loves seeing me hustle around in cyberspace.  I, quite humbly, can only begin to aspire to her inspiring heights of hustle.

Welcome.  And thanks for reading.

About Kiki DeLovely

I’m a queer, kinky, poly, witchy, femme, erotica writer who has lived and performed all over the U.S., as well as internationally. I’ve toured with Body Heat: Femme Pour Tour and various gender-based performance troupes and am published in numerous books, newspapers, and magazines. My greatest passions include searching out secret spots in nature, Oxford commas, deep woo, doing research for my writing, and bringing queer, kinky, smart smut to the masses. I long for/strive toward erotica that reads as fine literature, makes us think, and helps us connect with our spiritual selves. she/her/ella
